I’ve got a lot of new projects to make a start on so these are going to be the last book thongs from me for a while. Aww, don’t all cry at once! They’re a mixure of different colours and beads and all of them can be found in my Etsy shop.

Did you know that the Bumblebee Bat is the world’s smallest bat with a wingspan of only 6″, while the Flying Fox is the largest with up to a 6ft wingspan? The little beauties below are made from pewter and only have a 1″ wingspan! I wanted something between the bat and the earwire and after trying out various beads and colours I decided to go for some simple chain maille in Sterling Silver. Bat lovers can wear these all year round, they’re not just for Hallowe’en! They’ll be in my Etsy shop and on my website later on tonight : )
And talking of Hallowe’en, I’ve got a couple of freebie cross stitch designs to share with you today. One is a glowing pumpkin with bats and for those who love something a bit scarier there’s a design of the late great Brandon Lee as The Crow. This has to be stitched on black aida but the finished effect is amazing. I designed and stitched this for my sister several years ago and it still has pride of place on her wall!

First of all, good news. Remember these earrings (bottom of the post)? Well Jean loved them and they are going to be in a future issue of Bead! I’m so excited : )
This is a bracelet I made over the weekend. I’m really pleased with it, partly because I’ve had these pink beads for some time and not really known what to do with them. They’re that strange shade of pink that I find really hard to match with other colours, but I put some copper next to them and wow! I have some left over so I think I’ll make a matching necklace. Watch this space ; )
My arm’s a little better today so I’ve managed to squeeze in a bit of beading. I really enjoyed making these little angels! They’re all available here ; )
No special reason for this blog candy, I just thought it was time for a little giveaway. Up for grabs are these almost-edible mini book thongs, perfect for your Summer reading!
All you have to do to be in with a chance to win is to leave a comment on this post. As there are two book thongs up for grabs you’ll get two chances to win. Also, if you put a link on your blog telling your readers about my blog candy then I’ll enter your name twice, giving you four chances to win one of these unique bookmarks!
I’ll be picking the winner out of a hat (or something hat-shaped, I don’t think I actually own a hat!) at midday(ish) on Saturday 27th of June.
Good luck!
By the way the comment link is at the top of this post, not at the bottom like Blogspot posts – I know, it’s very confusing!
Well I’m almost at the end of my beady journey through The Beader’s Floral and I’ve really enjoyed myself! Here’s what I did with all those flowers, a charm bracelet full to bursting. I forgot to take photos of the buds, leaves and tendrils – I couldn’t wait to make the bracelet up once I’d decided what to do with the flowers - but you can just see some of them peeking out in between. I’ve also added some green and purple glass beads to bring it all together. Possibly the most colourful piece I’ve ever made, I hope you like it!
